I’ve been looking for a nice little app that combines chat, social feeds, and email alerts in one shiny package. Actually, the funny thing is… I didn’t even know that’s what I was looking for until I came across Digsby.
Digsby is cross-platform (Mac, Windows, Linux), lets you chat on verious IM networks using multiple accounts, and provides social network feeds and new email alerts.
And it works with Google Apps! Using your own domain for Gmail? No problem-o. I also love the multiple monitor support for choosing where alerts appear.

For the curious, Digsby makes heavy use of Python, wxPython, and wxWebKit to make itself cross-platform.
